Dr Kathryn Briggs

BBUS (Public Relations), BDS, DClinDent (Ortho), AOB Cert

Dr Briggs received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of
Adelaide in 2013. After graduation, Kathryn worked as a General Dentist in Adelaide, before completing a dental residency at Monash Medical Centre (Specialist Dental Unit). Seeking to broaden her experience further.

Kathryn worked in the United Kingdom for several years, as a Senior House Officer and Oral Surgery Specialty Dentist. This exposure to surgery, specifically regarding the correction of dentofacial deformities and complex craniofacial abnormalities sparked her keen interest in Orthodontics. Having spent far too much time with Oral and Maxillofacial surgeons, she saw the light and commenced her training in Orthodontics at The University of Queensland in 2024.

She is completed with the Australasian Orthodontic Board, and is a member of the Australian Society of Orthodontists, the Australian Dental Association and the British Orthodontic Society. Kathryn also obtained a Bachelor of Business (Public Relations) from QUT for which she received the Deans Award. As a result, she strongly believes in communicating well and educating patients regarding the process and goals of their orthodontic treatment.

Kathryn continues to keep up to date with her professional education and the latest in orthodontic research, and is a published author herself.

Outside of Orthodontics, Kathryn can be found spending time with her husband, scrumptious son and their fur babies Dennis and Posy. Her other loves include hiking, tennis and settling in to read with a bottomless cup of tea!
